Kid’s rooms are always a mess; they don’t pick up after themselves, and there is stuff everywhere. The key is to make the space easy to maintain. That includes containers that aren’t super separated by categories.

For instance, American Girl clothes vs. American Girl shirts, dresses, and pants. This isn’t sustainable for an elementary school aged kid. Putting all her clothes in one place allows her to find what she’s looking for, while also allowing her to be able to pick up when it’s time.

Creating these systems allows them to be independent, and proud of their personal space.
